16th September 2007 Windsurfing: Blithfield Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F3-6 v gusty Surf / Sea State: Chop Air Temperature: 19 Sea Temperature: Warm Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Windy, but very gusty plus wind shifts. First time out with the Alpha - struggled to get the 273 on the plane, but the sail seemed stable once the board was up and running and very easy in the gybes. Wind picked up so tried the Max 2 Air - again struggled at times and although the wind seemed strong could not carve upwind to chop hop. Spoke to others later, who also had trouble with the gusts and shifts. Max 2 Air had been re-gripped by Boardwise - better than new. |
